Prominent weather reporter, Heidi Jones, who alleged to police she got out of a potential rape situation has now been accused of it all being a lie she made up. She was arrested at the weekend and has been taken off air by the station she works for, WABC-TV, pending an investigation by police.

According to police, Jones waited a month to report the incident and described her attacker as a stocky, Hispanic man who tackled her from behind. But when authorities canvassed the area and began to ask questions, the story didn't add up. After questioning Jones a second time, police say there were inconsistencies in her story, and when confronted, Jones confessed. Police say Jones fabricated the story after experiencing personal problems. She was charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in prison if she's found guilty. Jones, Nguyen added, is scheduled to appear in court on January 15.

So a bizarre situation arisen around the TV weather reporter and hopefully she will possibly be facing a heavy penalty of a year inprisonment.
