high speed digital camera

high speed digital camera

Casio EX-FH100 10.1MP High Speed Digital Camera with 10x Ultra Wide Angle Zoom with CMOS Shift Image Stabilization and 3.0 inch LCD

Casio's 10.1 effective-megapixel hih speed digital camera incorporates a wide-angle 24mm 10x optical zoom lens into a compact frame that makes it possible for it to be transported anywhere. It also makes it possible for users to use a maximum burst rate of 40 shots per second for still images (maximum image size of 9.0 megapixels and maximum shooting capacity of 30 shots) that can now be used to photograph distant subjects because of the high-power zoom.

It also enables up to 1,000 fps high-speed movie recording that captures motion that is ordinarily too fast for the human eye to see. The EX-FH100 allows users ranging from advanced amateur photographers to beginners to enjoy high-speed burst shooting. It is equipped with a mode dial that enables manual exposure burst shooting and also has a mode that makes high-speed burst shooting easy, a feature that sets the burst shooting speed to the optimal rate just by selecting the type of scene. Plus, enjoy high-quality photography even in dim indoor lighting by using a highly sensitive CMOS sensor.

Wide-angle 24 mm 10x optical zoom lens in a compact body
The EX-FH100 features a high-power zoom lens in a compact body measuring just 105.0 mm wide x 63.2 mm tall x 29.9 mm thick. The lens delivers all the freedom of zoom photography--from a wide-angle 24 mm to a 10x optical zoom that brings distant subjects right up close.

Ultra-high speed burst shooting captures crucial moments at a speed of 40 shots per second
This model can take up to 30 shots of 9.0 megapixel high-resolution images with high-speed burst shooting at a maximum speed of 40 shots per second. What is more, if the camera is set to Prerecord Continuous Shutter, users will not miss those critical moments even if they press the shutter a little late, since the camera starts shooting when the shutter button is only depressed halfway.

Amazon customer review: "As for the slow-motion feature, it's extremely easy to use, especially to activate. The HD and Slow-Motion toggle is a great little piece of hardware, and the dedicated video button makes it that much more amazing. As for video quality, WOW! Not only is HD Recording amazingly clear, but switching to 120, 240, or even 420 FPS looks absolutely amazing.. hilarious too! 1000 fps is way too slow for what i'm using it for, and besides the video quality at this speed is too low.

As for picture quality, 10x zoom is great, I haven't gotten a single blury shot, and low-light performance is very good. I've been looking for a camera that takes good night pictures, especially at parties. The camera makes skin look natural, not greasy and shiny like other cameras. Colors looks spectacular.

As for the screen, i wish it had better quality. I see myself taking pictures and not being impressed with how they look on the camera. But once I download them to my mac, they look STUNNING!

Overall very impressed with the camera. I couldn't be happier!"

So clearly a very impressive product from Casio boasting high tech features to ensure your photo taking will be an efficient and smooth process.

What's in the Box
Privia PX-130 Keyboard, AC Adapter, Music Stand, User's Manual

Amazon customer review: "There are several excellent reviews already, so I'll try to make this short, and will focus on the specific reasons I bought this keyboard.

First, let me say that I've been playing piano for 32 years. 14 of those years I played professionally (as in, I got paid to play; nothing too fancy, but I'm just trying to establish some credibility as a musician). I've played several hundred different pianos and keyboards over the years. I own, in fact, an Alesis QS8 keyboard, which was a phenomenal keyboard when it came out 12-13 years ago, and is still in use and highly sought after today. However, the thing must be made of bricks. And the hard shell case needed to protect it weighs a ton too. And, the amp that you have to take with you everywhere you go wasn't too light either. I found myself missing opportunities to play at times because I just didn't want to lug everything around.

So, I started looking for a lighter keyboard, and I came across the PX-130. I liked how it sounded online, but was afraid I wouldn't like it in person--either because of the actual sound, or because of the feel. Like I said, I've played piano for 32 years, and if the thing didn't sound and feel right, I wasn't going to get it. So I went to a local store and played with one for an hour or so.

It's absolutely amazing. The feel is wonderful, the sound is beautiful, and the touch feels just right to me. It's not like playing a Yamaha C5, but it's as good as, and in fact better than, any other keyboard I've ever played. I've played many real pianos with less enjoyable actions.

As for the speaker volume, it's easily loud enough to be used in a small group setting with other instruments, or as a solo instrument in a decent sized room without any other amplification. Of course, you can always plug it into a sound system or use a keyboard amp to get more volume, but for most of my purposes, it's good as is. Which means I can now "lug" around 26 lbs, instead of well over a hundred.

So, if you want a simple, light, 88-key keyboard that sounds and feels like a good quality piano, don't hesitate to purchase the Casio PX-130. I can't imagine you'll be disappointed."

So clearly a very practical and powerful product from Casio and definitely impressive and ideal for anyone looking to purchase a keyboard.

Army Navy Game 2010

Army Navy Game 2010

The Army-Navy game 2010 tends to be the main attraction on championship Saturday. Instead, the Army-Navy game 2010 is a week away, whereas Oregon, Auburn and the other BCS contenders are playing today. It is conference championship Saturday but it is not the last day of the pre-bowl season which will be next Saturday when the academies meet each other again finally in Philadelphia.

As such, it serves as another example of how the Army-Navy game is different from the rest. Normally, this rivalry is resumed on the first week of December, or the last week of November in years past. However, the battle had nowadays been reduced to an undercard, before the conference championship showdowns later in the day. In this case, the Army-Navy game 2010 has been pushed back another week, while Oregon, Auburn, and teams from the ACC, Big 12 and Big East fight for BCS berths.

So an exciting prospect for football fans leading into the Army-Navy game next week and there will sure to be plenty of great action on show.

oral b triumph manual

Oral B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart Guide

Oral-B's most hi-tech rechargabletoothbrush, Triumph with Smartguide makes it possible for better brushing which means better oral health. Clinically tested and proven to give extraordinary cleaning and better brushing habits for healthy teeth and gums, Triumph with SmartGuide's 3D Excel Action has 40,000 in-and-out pulsations per minute that gently release plaque from teeth, and 8,800 side-to-side oscillations that sweep it off the teeth gently.

Its innovative remote wireless display is specifically designed to give you the knowledge and guidance to brush thoroughly, gently, and for the dental recommended two minutes. This wireless monitor features the first visual pressure sensor alert to help reduce hard brushing and prevent gum recession--a precursor to tooth loss.

The SmartGuide features include:

* Visual Pressure Sensor: Lets you know if you’re brushing with the right amount of pressure. In a clinical study, the sensor is shown to reduce hard brushing in 9 out of 10 users.
* Improved Brushing Guide: Takes you through all the quadrants of your mouth, ensuring that each section is equally well cleaned.
* Pausable Professional Timer: If you need to stop brushing, you can pause the timer and resume where you left off
* Change Your Brush Head Alert: When it’s time to replace, a message appears on the SmartGuide.
* Four customized brushing modes , each gentle on your gums:
o Clean- Choose this mode at any time you brush for the benefit of ultimate plaque removal and the confidence of exceptional whole-mouth cleaning.
o Sensitive- This mode offers a more gentle approach toward getting a thorough brushing for your teeth and gums.
o Massage- Achieve the benefits of thorough yet gentle gum stimulation, recommended for maintaining strong, healthy gums.
o Polish- ProWhite brush head with special polishing cup retains toothpaste longer to remove stains for whiter teeth in only 21 days.

Amazon customer review: "I used an electric toothbrush before this, and so I assumed that the transition would be easy. Surprise! I at first found that the Triumph was shockingly rough! For the first week I had to use it on the gentle setting, but after a week I got used to it and switched to the normal setting. I found that that the monitor is useful to time the session and I think that it is worth the extra money.

For what it is worth:
Normally when I visit the dentists office, the technician spends considerable time scraping off the plaque from my teeth. I went 2 weeks ago, and there wasn't any plaque for her to remove. None. Additionally, I have rather poor flossing habits, and the technician usually causes my gums to bleed. This time she commented on how healthy my gums were - even between my teeth (I did not admit that I had not flossed in a month). Note: I am not advocating that you don't floss, just admitting that I don't."

So another impressive electric brush from the Teeth experts Oral B and surely a good investment if you're looking for help in keeping teeth clean.

oral b pulsar battery replacement

oral b pulsar battery replacement

Oral-B Pulsar 40

Here is the new Pulsar from Oral-B. This is the only manual toothbrush with revolutionary yellow micropulse bristles that will pivot and pulse to ensure a more efficient cleaning of your teeth that will be better than the leading manual or battery operated brush. This unique brush head technology is powered by a gentle pulsing action which helps remove built up food on the tooth surface and plaque and stimulates gums.

The vibrating MicroPulse bristles feature a rubberized surface with textured blue cleaning pads.

As the bristles penetrate between the teeth, the pads grip the surface of the teeth to sweep away food and plaque. In fact, Pulsar removes as much plaque as brushing and flossing combined. In addition, only Pulsar features a pressure-sensitive split brushhead that adjusts to the contours of your teeth to clean hard-to-reach places and moderate the amount of pressure applied to the teeth and gums. The result ¿ an outstanding clean and a terrific mouthfeel! (Color varies: Blue, Red, Green or Lilac)

Amazon customer review: "This is the King of toothbrushes! Get the soft bristles (according to Dr. Dean Adel soft is better for your gums). I've been using it daily for over two months and the battery is still going strong. My dentist suggested I massage my gums and I do it with the Oral-B Pulsar for about a minute longer than I brush. Since I've been using the Pulsar no more "pink" in the wash basin. If you have kids who balk at brushing this may be the answer to better brushing habits... it's actually fun to use. --- Another big plus... it's the same size head as a regular toothbrush so it feels "normal" right away without haveing to get used to a new shape (which is sometimes the case with more expensive rechargables)."

So certainly a high quality buy if you are looking for an impressive powerful electric brush to take care of your oral hygiene.

naga viper

naga viper

The hottest chili in the world, the Naga Viper, resides in Cumbria, a small county in the UK. It's so hot that experts are considering about using it in spice bombs to incapacitate enemy soldiers in war. Gerald Fowler, the man who rared the pepper by mixing three of the hottest variations of chili pods known to man, owns the Chilli Pepper company in England.

The pepper has a world-setting tongue-scorching Scoville rating of 1,359,000 units, beating its predecessor, the Bhut Jolokia, or "ghost chili", by 300,000 points. The Scoville scale rates heat by tracking the presence of a chemical compound. To get a better idea of how blazing hot this pepper is, most varieties of jalapeño peppers measure in the 2,500 to 5,000 range. "It's painful to eat," Fowler told the Daily Mail. "It's hot enough to strip paint."

So a very impressive chemical discovery all in all and could prove beneficial in other areas of technology such as combat in war!

cartoon characters from the 80s

Cartoon characters from the 80s

You may have been seeing a lot of non human faces when looking through Facebook profiles lately. You'll more likely be seeing pictures of "Ren and Stimpy", "The Rugrats", Rocko from "Rocko's Modern Life" and others. This new trend of users changing their profile pics to pictures of these characters has very much become a craze.

According to the Huffington Post, the whole thing was started as part of a campaign against child abuse. As one user wrote: “From now until December 7, change your profile picture to a cartoon character from your childhood. The objective of this is not to see any human faces on Facebook but an invasion of memories for the fight against Violence to Children. Remember we were kids too :D.”

So a very interesting trend which is sure to last a while and is a nice trip down memory lane for adults wanting to relive their youth.

ventura show fema

Alex Jones, consultant to TruTV's conspiracy theory has confirmed that hotly contested episode "Police State" which dealt with FEMA camps and fusion centers is to be pulled from the air and "memory-holed" because of behind the scenes anxiety and pressure. The episode is now de-listed from TruTV's website along with bonus clips being removed and encore airings were removed and it wasn't aired during the recent conspiracy theory marathon.

Alex cannot elaborate further without compromising his sources, but you have heard people associated with the show discussing on the radio how certain unnamed powerful people did not want this revealing episode to air, how shadowy figures have been caught rummaging through the trash of producers for the show, and beyond.
The producers and talent for Conspiracy Theory, including former Governor Jesse Ventura, have shown a lot of courage in making their series as hard hitting as possible.

So a controversial and suspiscious move from the show and it will lead many to wonder what the episode has to reveal.

Amazon customer review: "I have been an Oral-B electric toothbrush user for the last 15 years. I have written Amazon reviews for Oral-B products dating back to 2002. I have had very few dental issues in this time although, in fairness, I must also report that I began daily flossing during this time as well, and that may be just as important.

This new model is a definite step up from the ancient "Plak Control Plus" model that I had been using. It's full name is "Professional Care 3000" and it definitely feels and sounds like a professional dental instrument. The head oscillates at a much higher rate than my old one. Please note that this is not an ultrasonic toothbrush. Cleaning is accomplished here purely by mechanical brushing action. The small, rotating brush head and slender handle allow you to get at and clean each surface of each tooth very quickly.

The 3000 offers three modes of operation which are available by successive presses of the on/off button. The first is "Daily Clean" which is what you are most likely to use on a regular basis. The second is "Sensitive" which reduces the head speed for sensitive areas or for those with sensitive teeth. The third is "Whitening" which is an odd repetitive increase/decrease of speed for "Exceptional whitening for occasional or everyday use."

The instructions that come with the 3000 recommend that you brush for 2 minutes - no less and no more. To assist you with this, once you turn the brush on it will pulse twice every 30 seconds. If you use each interval to clean one quadrant of your mouth, you'll be done in the recommended 2 minutes at which time the brush will pulse 4 times. To turn the brush off from any mode, just press and hold the on/off button.

Built into the 3000 is a "Hard Brushing Alert" which is an LED on the handle that lights up if you are pressing too hard. Brushing is most effective when the brush is pressed lightly against the teeth. Pressing too hard not only is less effective but will cause your brush heads to break down too quickly. The instructions say that the LED is, "Helping protect your teeth and gums from hard brushing," so apparently there's a dental health issue here as well. The brush is very powerful, so it's not difficult to see how too much pressure would be destructive to the surfaces of your teeth.

The brush comes with a charging stand and covered storage tray that can accommodate 4 brush heads. The storage tray is dishwasher-safe, the charging stand is not."

So clearly a very impressive tool that is a godsend for people looking for thorough dental care and teeth they can have full confidence in.

This might indicate previous, unreported accidents which impact the value of a used car, minivan or truck. Industrial and Manufacturing Check if the protective coating or paint on machine parts, buildings or on incoming raw material is of the correct thickness. Features: Factory calibrated, measures precisely right out of the box * Simple switch between mils or microns * Large LCD flip-display, easy to read in any position * Accurate readout in just 1 second * Memory records the last 10 measurements

Amazon customer review: "The product description calls this the CM8801-FN which works on both Aluminum and Steel/Iron cars. This is actually just the Fe which only works on Iron/Steel. I don't know whether it works, but just saw the listing and almost bought it even though it's the wrong product!"

So definitely a very useful product if you are looking to keep track of the paint consistency in it's thickness as you are on paint jobs.

miami heat vs cleveland cavaliers

miami heat vs cleveland cavaliers

Cavs Vs. Heat is already on it's way to becoming one of the highlights of the recent history of the NBA, and halftime hasn't even approached yet! The drama that began to surface in August when the NBA announced the 2010-2011 schedule hit fever pitch when Lebron James came out of the tunnel.

James was greeted by a loud chorus of boos along with plenty of profane chants. He has responded with 13 points to help the hated Heat take comfortable lead in the second quarter. Although the outcome of the game remains uncertain, the biggest question of the night was answered before the opening tip-off. As the players took the court, James stepped to the scorer's table and tossed chalk high into the air. His customary act provided another reminder of how life used to be in Cleveland.

So a hotly anticipated game has met the expectations and is still in full flow. For full coverage of the match there will be sites online streaming it.

celebration florida

celebration florida

Disney's scenic Florida Community by the name of Celebration had to deal with it's first murder on Tuesday and it's the first since it began 14 years ago. Celebration is a town situated five miles south of Disney World and it is where 58 year old man, Matteo Giovanditto, who was home alone in a condo and killed over thanksgiving weekend.

Neighbors got suspicious because they hadn't seen Giovanditto since the day before Thanksgiving, so they called the police. "This is very rare and unusual for a crime of this magnitude to occur in this community," said Twis Lizasuain, a sheriff's spokeswoman. She further said that the murder was "an isolated incident" and that "we don't believe the safety of the residents is in jeopardy." The town, brainchild of then-president of the Disney Development Corp. Peter Rummell, opened in 1996 to residents.

So a disturbing, unfortunate incident for the residents of the community and hopefully the family and next of kin of the man are able to recover from the tragedy asap.

qatar world cup

qatar world cup

The host nations for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA world cups have been announced today and the 2018 tournament will be held in Russia whilst the 2022 tournament will be in Qatar. Qatar's selection left a lot of glum faces in the Tampa bay Area as representatives of the USA bid for the 2022 tournament were waiting there hoping they would get picked.

The United States and Australia had been tipped as favorites alongside Qatar. Japan and South Korea were also in the running. Qatar brings the World Cup to the smallest host ever but one which has unparalleled financial clout to stage the world's biggest single-sport event. It overcame objections about holding the games in desert heat and asked FIFA to take a "bold gamble." "We go to new lands," FIFA President Sepp Blatter said.

So a big project for the middle east country who will have to make sure their stadiums, security and technology are in top condition once the 2022 tournament is ready to begin.

razr v3 unlocked phone

razr v3 unlocked phone

Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera, and Video Player--International Version with No Warranty (Magenta Pink)

With it being only just over half an inch thick, the Motorola RAZR V3 is the ideal mixture of slick design and powerful efficient features. With wide ranging Bluetooth, video playback support, a VGA (640 x 480) camera and a beautiful color screen, the RAZR V3 is just what you've always wanted in a stylish mobile.

The Motorola RAZR V3 is truly an impressive quad-band phone. And now it is available in gorgeous pink (some folks call it magenta) for those who want to kick up the style.

Design
The RAZR V3's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, anodized aluminum construction.

A large 176 x 220 color display with 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The VGA camera lens is housed above this display. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control while a voice button on the right side of the unit allows you to enter voice memos and create voice dialing profiles. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A charging port and USB data cable port is placed on the bottom of the phone.

Calling Features
The RAZR V3's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts, while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. It also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. A number of ringtones come preloaded on the phone. There's even an included application, MotoMixer, that lets you mix your own ringtones. For times when you want to be discreet, there's a vibrating alert. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear while voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names.

Amazon customer review: "Lets get one thing straight - you will never buy this phone for its features, so why give it a bad review because of its lack of features? This phone is meant for one thing -- Style. And not one other phone in the market comes close to this phone in style - and the sales of this phone prove it.

The signal strength on this phone is very good. In elevators where I didnt get signal with other phones, this phone picks up enough signal to carry the conversation through without any of those "didnt hear you - can you repeat that?". I really havent seen another GSM phone with signal quality as strong as this one, which is funny because this phone's antenna doesnt even stick out (internal antenna). Bluetooth audio is clear - I have verified this with the Jabra BT200 and the Motorola HS820.

Want a good looking phone with great voice quality? Buy this phone. Theres really no competition. Want a camera + camcorder + mp3 player + organizer + toaster? Skip it... "

So clearly an impressive model from Motorola which will satisfy any consumer looking for a visually striking mobile alongside features that are satisfying.

google evil

Those who are a stranger to Prison Planet or Alex Jones may be shocked to learn that the radio discuss show host consistently tops Google trends with topics that are addressed on his program and today is no exception. Several of today's hottest internet topics as displayed by Google Trends, came straight from Prison Planet and Alex Jones.

The primary buzz to hit Google Trends was about Google itself. “Google Evil or Google is Evil” was primarily based upon the recent allegations and lawsuit that Google practices censorship and gives favoritism to its personal websites and those that shell out for listings. However the lawsuit continues to be filed, Google denies the allegations. Prison Planet pointed out on its show that Google’s privacy policies are often criticized. Criticized Prison Planet presents the allegations as reality, which they are not. Google problems the allegations.

So unsavoury reading for one of the world's leading companies Google and they will be hoping to bury these recent allegations laid against them.

Google has strived to honor African American civil rights activist Rosa Parks, who 55 years ago today, denied giving up her seat on a bus for a white passenger. Due to this stance she took on December 1st 1955, Parks was arrested, which sparked a boycott of the Montgomery, Alabama, bus line that happened for 381 days, declares her official website.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was named the spokesperson for the Bus Boycott, and the protest spread across the country, calling for equal rights for all citizens. If you surf over to Google's U.S. homepage today, you'll see the above Doodle, which, when clicked on, leads to search results relevant to the activist.
Google has truly been honoring a diverse array of people via its Doodle this past year, including John Lennon, Agatha Christie and even Pac-man (who isn't really a person, but still).

So a very significant memorial made by one of the world's largest companies and a stance worthy of such a big salute.

hanukkah

hanukkah

Hanukkah, an eight day event that signifies a Jewish Military victory some two millenia ago, has become the Kosher answer to christmas, something it was never meant to represent. However, because of that or maybe in spite of it? The festival of lights has emerged as an important Jewish moment in pop-culutral expression and exploration.

All of this has cleared the way for the hipster Hanukkah. Eight great moments in Hanukkah-goes-pop history. 1) “My Dreidel” (pre-1950), 2) Hanukkah Harry on “Saturday Night Live” (1989) Who needs Santa Claus when you can have Hanukkah Harry (aka Jon Lovitz), who’s here to reward all the good little Jewish boys and girls with…socks. It took “Saturday Night Live” to give the holiday its first – and maybe only — signature character. Sadly, Harry made it back for just one other “SNL” episode, but his legend endures, 3) “The Hanukkah Song” (1994), 4) “A Rugrats Chanukah” (1996), 5) “The Best Chrismukkah Ever” (2003), 6) “Hanukkah Hey Ya!” (2003), 7) No Limit Texas Dreidel (2007), 8) Dreidel HD (2010).

So a very important and significant period for Jews worldwide as the festival begins tonight.

Google Nexus One Unlocked Phone

Spearheading the next level in smartphone development is the unlocked Google nexus One phone from HTC which makes supercharged power available with one of the speediest processors you can get in a smartphone, a 3.7-inch AMOLED touch display, and access to all your contacts and your most valued data with a variety of Google tools via the Android 2.1 operating system.

With integrated Google technology, the Nexus One brings one-touch access to the popular Google mobile services millions use every day, including Google Search by Voice, YouTube and Picasa.

The 5-megapixel camera on the back also
captures DVD-quality widescreen video
(see a schematic of all ports and controls).
In addition to 3G connectivity, the Nexus One offers Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g) for accessing home and business networks as well as hotspots while on the go and Bluetooth connectivity for both hands-free devices and stereo music streaming. Other features include assisted GPS (AGPS) with Google Maps Navigation providing turn-by-turn voice guidance, memory expansion via microSD memory cards (a 4 GB card is included with the device), threaded messaging for seamless on-the-go conversations, and up to 7 hours of 3G talk time.

Unlocked Phone
The Nexus One is unlocked and will recognize SIM cards from any mobile service provider using the GSM standard. The Nexus One's antenna supports four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900) and three 3G/UMTS Bands (2100/AWS/900). These cover most major GSM mobile providers worldwide, including T-Mobile in the United States, but not the 850 MHz 3G band used by AT&T. The Nexus One will, however, deliver 2G/EDGE speeds on these networks, and of course supports Wi-Fi as well.

Nexus One Software Innovation
The Nexus One runs on Android 2.1, a version of the platform's Eclair software, which offers advanced applications and features including:

* Google Maps Navigation: offering turn-by-turn driving directions with voice output.
* E-mail: multiple Gmail accounts; universal inbox and Exchange support.
* Phone book: aggregate contacts from multiple sources, including Facebook.
* Quick Contacts: easily switch between communication and social applications.
* Android Market: access to more than 18,000 applications.

It also includes the following applications on the home screen:

* Gmail: Your Inbox displays conversations with the newest messages at the top. To read a message in a threaded conversation, touch its subject.
* YouTube: Use the YouTube application to view, search for, upload, and share videos. Like the version you use on your PC, YouTube on the Nexus One presents the videos grouped into categories, such as Most viewed, Most discussed, Most recent, and Top rated.
* Messaging: You can use Messaging to exchange text (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS) with your friends' mobile phones. Touch New message to start a new text or multimedia message, or touch an existing message thread to open it.
* Music: Use the Music application to listen to and organize audio files you have transferred onto your microSD card from your computer.
* Maps: With Google Maps on your phone, you can find your current location, view real-time traffic conditions, and get detailed directions by foot, public transportation, or car. You'll also be able to navigate using spoken, turn-by-turn driving instructions as well as switch between viewing a street map or a satellite image.
* Car Home: Access Google Maps, Navigation, Voice Search, Contacts, and Search with the touch of a button. Car Home opens with five large buttons that you can touch to access applications that are most useful when you're driving.
* Android Market: With the Android Market, you can browse and search for free and paid applications. Once you find an application you want, you can install it on your phone.

Amazon customer review: "I've had the Google Nexus One for about three or four days now. I got the unlocked version direct from Google for $530, so I can't imagine why anyone would pay the $630 or more other sellers are asking for. Switching my number over to T-Mobile was easy, although it took about a day for the transfer to be finalized, which I'm blaming on Sprint due to my experience with their customer service in the past. And since I have the unlocked phone I was able to get the Even More Plus plan with 500 minutes, unlimited texting and "unlimited" data for $59.99 a month, so I'll be saving a _lot_ of money in the long run compared to the iPhone on AT&T or the Droid on Verizon. So far the phone seems very fast and I've already downloaded several apps. Some people have been making a big deal about the fact that the app space is limited to the internal 512 MB flash drive, unlike the iPhone which can save app data to the main drive. I've installed 9 apps so far, the largest is 3.59MB and the smallest is 664KB, with the total coming to 12MB. According to the memory manager I've still got 153 MB of storage left (apparently the OS takes up about 350MB) so I'm not worried about running out of space before Google comes out with the fix for saving apps to the SD card that they've said they're working on. One important "feature" of the N1 which people may view as a pro or con, depending on your views on privacy, is the integration with all of Google's online applications. When you start the phone up it asks you log into your Google account (I'm not sure what happens if you try to skip that step.) It will then synch the phone with your "My Contacts" list in GMail and will automatically log you into most Google services. This morning while doing a search on my phone during lunch I was a little surprised to see similar searches I'd done this morning on my desktop showing up in the suggestions box. I've also been getting notifications on my phone for all the events I have saved on my Google Calendar. Transferring data to the phone from your computer is simple. It comes with a USB to micro-USB connector, and the hardest part of getting it connected is realizing that after you've plugged it in you need to open the notifications window on the phone and tell it to mount the SD card (this is presumably some kind of security feature in case you lose the phone.) After that you can copy files across just like any other drive. I've already moved about half a gig of music over to the phone. The battery life seems adequate so far. I need to charge the phone every day, but that's probably because I've been spending a considerable amount of time browsing the web with it. Once the novelty wears off (and the work week starts again =) I expect my usage will drop off a bit. I'm still thinking I may want to get a car charger for it though. Speaking of which, web browsing seems to work great, though I do miss tabbed browsing a little. YouTube videos work great, though other sites with the latest version of Flash don't. Adobe is currently working on Flash 10.1 for the Nexus though. It's already in beta and there are demos of it working on YouTube, so hopefully it will be out soon."

So a very efficient, stylish and multi-functional phone from HTC which meets a wide array of needs a user could want.

twilight new moon book online

twilight new moon book online

New Moon (The Twilight Saga) [Mass Market Paperback]

Rescued from the vampire attack that put her in hospital at the close of Twilight (Little, Brown, 2005), Bella enjoys her birthday celebrations with boyfriend Edward and his family, a special group of vampires that has forbid themselves of Human Blood but the celebrations are cut short when Bella cuts her arm accidentally on broken glass.

The sight and smell of her blood trickling away forces the Cullen family to retreat lest they be tempted to make a meal of her. After all is mended, Edward, realizing the danger that he and his family create for Bella, sees no option for her safety but to leave. Mourning his departure, she slips into a downward spiral of depression that penetrates and lingers over her every step. Vampire fans will appreciate the subsequently dour mood that permeates the novel, and it's not until Bella befriends Jacob, a sophomore from her school with a penchant for motorcycles, that both the pace and her disposition begin to take off. Their adventures are wild, dare-devilish, and teeter on the brink of romance, but memories of Edward pervade Bella's emotions, and soon their fun quickly morphs into danger, especially when she uncovers the true identities of Jacob and his pack of friends. Less streamlined than Twilight yet just as exciting, New Moon will more than feed the bloodthirsty hankerings of fans of the first volume and leave them breathless for the third.

Amazon customer review: "So many of the reviews are more about the character's actions- I'd prefer to actually discuss the book. My sister just started high school, she's 15 and she lent New Moon and the first book, Twilight to me. Despite our age gap (I'm sixteen years older) I found them a very engaging and entertaining read. I'm glad to share these with her and I'd suggest them to anyone who is staring at a younger, somewhat mysterious female relative wondering what to buy them for Christmas.

The pacing is good. The book is a quick, satisfying read. My feeling is that the author works through scenes rather than writing in a linear fashion- and the scenes are fairly cinematic in their structure which I personally like. She gets to the point in her stories and fits a lot of action and significant detail in without overwhelming you with a density of vision.

If you're concerned about the content, as in "Is this appropriate to give my neice/cousin's kid etc" you can be assured that the romantic tension captured here is through restraint rather than exploration. Not too surprizingly this is highly seductive. Several reviews seem disappointed by the character's actions and have given fewer stars. However, I'd like to say that this book is clearly part of a larger work and we're seeing Bella at a certain point in her personal growth. It is not a conclusion novel so it doesn't feel like one. She acts like, well, a confused person in love. I think the depiction is honest and it is a good thing when a character can annoy or drive you crazy: it means you're engaged and the author has done their job well.

I'll be honest- I wasn't expecting to be drawn in, now I'm a bit annoyed I have to wait until next fall.

New Moon is the sequel to Twilight, so I'm covering both in my review. I think it could stand alone but I'd stronly recommend reading Twilight first as it really gives the foundations and 'rules' of Bella's world."

So a fascinating read for fans of fantasy thrillers and fans of the Twilight saga as a whole.

Philips SpeechMike Pro 5274 - Trackball - wired - USB

Using the push buttons to manage your dictations and the light-weight device will rest comfortably in your hand during the lengthiest of periods of dictation.

The scroll wheel allows you to one-handed move through forms or documents, while the dustproof optical trackball offers unparalleled navigation accuracy.

Control the playback volume directly on the SpeechMike for highest convenience. Excellent sound quality ensures crystal-clear playback, saving time during the transcription process.

Amazon customer review: "I am using this microphone to dictate medical records along with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I found an immediate improvement in accuracy when I began using this microphone. I also feel that it fits very comfortably in the hand. The programmable buttons are handy time-savers. In fact, you can really utilize these more than I realized because each button is really 3 buttons in one as they are programmable for holding CTRL and SHIFT as well. They can activate function keys, macros, or type text macros. The trackball is not my favorite way to navigate my screen, but it is there if you don't feel like reaching for a mouse. It has given me an immediate boost in productivity and has made dictation more enjoyable. In fact, I am dictating this review, and have not needed to correct its output at all.

My only criticism is that it has a rather light, cheap feel in the hand. Also, the attractive red light that looks pretty on the advertisement (around the mic receiver and also illuminating the trackball) almost never comes on. Its an indicator light for recording, but it seems to only work with the recording test-program which the microphone comes with. It's a program which you will never use. The indicator lights never activate while dictating with Dragon. It's a minor criticism.

Summary: Nice mic, quality output, good ergonomics and convenient buttons. If it had a nicer "quality-feel" in the hand and indicator lights which worked with Dragon I would give it five stars easily."

So a light weight, practical piece of hardware which is sure to meet your dictation needs when needing to communicate information to another source.

seattle marathon

seattle marathon

Today sees a group of soldiers partaking in the Seattle Marathon. Last year saw the soldiers take on the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon Baghdad Shadow Run. On this marathon Major Mark Piccone, Major Mike Moore and soldiers from Joint Base Lewis McChord have agreed to join forces to form the Iraq/Afghanistan Remembrance Group.

The running group seeks to honor those who died or were wounded while serving in combat in Iraq or Afghanistan. Part of the group ran in Saturday's 5K race, and was comprised of wounded warriors who were accompanied by fellow soldiers and family members who lost loved ones in battle. More than 49 soldiers are expected to run in the half and full marathons today. The marathon course is USATF- and AIMS-certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

So let's hope they all manage to run a good race and pay a great tribute to the dead and wounded soliders that were in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

wikileaks website

wikileaks website

Hours ahead of an awaited leak of millions of classified US documents, Wikileaks today claim it was the victim of a cyber attack but said the documents would be revealed to the public through several big named newspapers. On Twitter the site stated that: "We are currently under a mass distributed denial of service attack."

It added that even if its website goes down a number of newspapers will go ahead and publish the documents released to them. Ahead of the release of the potentially embarrassing documents, which the US fears could harm its relations with several countries, the American administration asked the website to refrain from making the classified documents public. It has asked it to return the "illegally obtained" papers, insisting that their leak would "endanger the lives of countless individuals."

So a real mishap with the website and they will be hoping they resolve the issue as soon as possible.
