Possession of salvia is currently legal in California. The video was reportedly taken five days after Miley turned 18.According to the report, the video was shot by one of Miley's friends and it is very possible that someone stole or copied the video from that person's camera.

Apparently there is a video surfacing on the internet of Miley Cyrus with a bong. The footage should become to be damning for the 18 year old but the question is was she really smoking marijuana or was it all a front? Apparently she was smoking something but it wasn't marijuana. The smoke filled device was apparently full of natural herb called salvia.
The natural herb reportedly has psychedelic qualities which is probably why Cyrus seems to be giggling up a storm in the footage.
In California it is ok to have salvia in your possession. I am not entirely sure I believe that it was not pot but since I am clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff I guess I will choose to believe it until it is proven otherwise. The story that is being told is that a friend of Cyrus’s filmed it then the friend’s person with the film in it was stolen.
That still begs the question of why she let someone take footage of her doing the stunt at all. Possibly to shed herself of the teeny bopper image she has.

Westboro Baptist Church is a church situated in Kansas with a long record of organising controversial and politically incorrect protests. They have today announced that the members of the church are to hold a protest at Elizabeth Edward's funeral in Raleigh, N.C this weekend.
In a statement released on the church's website -- the URL of which, www.godhatesfags.com, gives a pretty good sense of the group -- Westboro accused Edwards of "spewing blasphemy" and mounting a "smash-mouthed assault on His deity."
"Elizabeth Edwards & her faithless husband, John, lightly esteemed what they had. They coveted things that were not theirs - and presumptuously thought they could control God," the statement reads in part. Edwards, an advocate of gay rights and same-sex marriage, died on Tuesday after a six-year battle with cancer.

Christina Aguilera claims leaked photos that sprung onto the internet today were taken from her without her knowledge. She says the scandalous pictures were taken from digital devices she had and at the minute she hasn't named any suspects but says she will get to the bottom of it and go after them.
Earlier today, LALATE first reported that leaked pictures of someone resembling Aguilera had the net. Aguilera now says the pictures are of her; she says the photos were taken “in the privacy of [... her] home”.
Aguilera’s rep issued a statement to TMZ stating that the pictures were taken specifically to be used “only” for the singer and her “stylist”. Aguilera’s rep gave news no indication how the pictures got posted online but indicated that the “press … purchased and/or obtained” the pics.

Known only as Patient Zeta at the time, Burts found out on Oct. 8 from a routine check-up at the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation in Sherman Oaks, Calif., that he had contracted the virus, The Los Angeles Times reported. After quarantining his co-stars, all of whom tested negative, the clinic reportedly told Burts they had traced the infection to someone he had performed with who was "known positive," but could not reveal his name due to patient confidentiality.

Google Inc. today made another bold statement in the tech industry, by starting it's eagerly awaited online bookstore as it's own gesture in response to the offerings from Amazon.Inc and Apple Inc. The new Google ebook store has over 3 million titles, where many are free of charge, from around 4,000 publishers, including Simon & Schuster Inc and Random House.
Additionally, Google will let independent bookstores sell books through their own sites on the Google e-book store. “Launching Google eBooks is an initial step toward giving you greater access to the vast variety of information and entertainment found in books,” said Abraham Murray, product manager of Google Books in a posting announcing the Google eBooks launch on the company’s official blog.

Don Meredith, an all-pro quarterback who wrote himself into legendary status after he finished playing, passed away on Sunday at a Santa Fe, new Mexico hospital according to a spokesman. Meredith was 72. At the present time, the cause of death is unconfirmed. Meredith who was known by "Dandy Don", was part of the first Monday Night Football broadcast when the program started in 1970 on ABC.
At that time, virtually no NFL games appeared in prime time, and many at the time thought it would fail because - wait for it, wait for it - women who controlled the TV set at night would not want to watch football. (Digital video recorders could have solved a lot during such TV gender wars.) But in a then-unprecedented three-man broadcast booth, Meredith and Howard Cosell - joined by Keith Jackson the first year and Frank Gifford (above at right) after that - created a broadcast unlike any other.
So a tragic day for friends and family of the broadcaster and ex player but plenty of famous memories will be left behind of the man.

The national have agreed to contract terms with free-agent outfielder Jayson Werth, who will be getting a seven-year deal worth, in the region of $126 million. The Nationals came into money after releasing free agent Adam Dunn to the Chicago White Sox. Werth is lined up to replace Dunn's bat in the centre of the Nat's lineup.
The move means that Werth will most likely play right field and protect Ryan Zimmerman in the lineup. Werth's departure creates a hole in the Phillies' lineup. Werth had an .889 on-base-plus-slugging percentage the past three seasons, which ranked 10th in the Majors for right-handed hitters and fifth among right-handed-hitting outfielders. His 87 home runs ranked eighth among right-handed hitters and second to Milwaukee's Ryan Braun (94) among right-handed-hitting outfielders. Werth also stole 53 bases and played strong defense over those three years.

After gathering together record smashing numbers over his last few games, you would think the Kansas City Chiefs could be in line for some more magic from Dwayne Bowe aginst the Denver Broncos. This wasn't the case as Bowe was shut out, no yards on no catches, by Denver Bronco's CB Champ Bailey.
Bailey truly dominated Bowe today, with Matt Cassel only even targeting Bowe three times the entire game. This is in direct contrast to Bowe's first performance against the Broncos in 2010, where he caught 13 passes for 186 yards. Also, you can throw in two touchdowns there. Bowe was also targeted 18 times in the Chiefs/Broncos first meeting, six times more than he was this afternoon. After the game, Bowe said that the Broncos had "a nice little game plan" for him. Bowe said Denver obviously paid extra attention to him throughout the game, relative to their first meeting in November.
So Dwayne Bowe's has an off day and the Denver Broncos were able to combat his threat very successfully with their "game plan"

When I first started reading this book, I was a little surprised at the title. In Part 1, the author covers much more than just Google's revenue opportunities. He talks about the different associate programs like Amazon (which I participate in), and I was picking up quite a bit of information on how the whole web advertising model works. But then starting in Part 2 and beyond, he focuses directly on the Google platform, and how you can implement AdSense (which I also participate in) and AdWords on your site to drive traffic and/or generate revenue. Many of the abbreviations common to advertising (like CPC) were a bit foreign to me, but after this material I now have a much better understanding of what's going on. If I were counting on my blog to generate substantial revenue, this information would be invaluable to me. And if I were an advertiser looking at AdWords, I wouldn't venture into the water without this book. Serious, solid information that can offer you a real return on investment on your book-buying dollar..."
