TAG Heuer traces its roots to the small Swiss village of St-Imier where, in 1860, a watchmaker named Edouard Heuer opened his first shop. His vision was to create remarkable timepieces that pushed the envelope of innovation and precision. The company's reputation grew, and Heuer's first patent for a chronograph mechanism in 1882 was followed by a long list of achievements: the first stopwatch accurate to 1/100 of a second, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars, the first miniature electronic timekeeping device accurate to 1/1000th of a second, and the first automatic movement with a microrotor, to name just a few.

Amazon customer review: "TAG Heuer really captures the spirit of car racing in this watch. The 1/10 sec timer looks like a tachometer and the minute timer (smaller circle at 9 o'clock) resembles a speedometer. The polished steel ring surrounding the face of the watch inside the glass and the black outer bezel are both pieces of high precision machinery.
The large red hand is only used by the chronometer and not for displaying seconds during normal operation. Only drawback here is that it partly obstructs the view of the date and the TAG Heuer logo, which also maybe could have been a bit more luxurious than just painted. The arm for displaying seconds is in a chrome finish and located by the 3 o'clock mark in it's own little circle."
The brushed stainless steel surface of the band is awesome, shiny but matte at the same time. On the left side of the watch the TAG Heuer text logo is prominently displayed in a large font, etched into the case.
On the picture used by amazon.com it looks like a completely different and ugly watch. It's so much nicer in reality, google it and find a real picture.
I am so pleased with it, it feels great to wear and has a distinctive cool attitude about it. Also it was 600 USD cheaper than in stores in Sweden...

So an impressive model of watch which boasts clinically efficient timing with a stylish exterior.
