Leading up to Ronni Chasen being fatally shot after the "burlesque" after party in Beverly Hills, early Tuesday morning, one work colleague of the Hollywood publicist described here as being "happy-go-lucky and gossipy and fun," just before she left the party before the shocking events took place.

Chasen was walking the party with her client Diane Warren, who wrote the song "You Haven't Seen The Last Of Me" for the film's soundtrack. But minutes after she left, Chasen was shot multiple times in the chest. She crashed her Mercedes-Benz E350 into a light pole near Sunset Boulevard and Whittier Drive about 12:30 a.m. Paramedics rushed her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.

So a horribly tragic night for all connected to the publicist and here's hoping the culprit behind the murder is caught and given a very heavy sentence.
