Cartoon characters from the 80s

You may have been seeing a lot of non human faces when looking through Facebook profiles lately. You'll more likely be seeing pictures of "Ren and Stimpy", "The Rugrats", Rocko from "Rocko's Modern Life" and others. This new trend of users changing their profile pics to pictures of these characters has very much become a craze.

According to the Huffington Post, the whole thing was started as part of a campaign against child abuse. As one user wrote: “From now until December 7, change your profile picture to a cartoon character from your childhood. The objective of this is not to see any human faces on Facebook but an invasion of memories for the fight against Violence to Children. Remember we were kids too :D.”

So a very interesting trend which is sure to last a while and is a nice trip down memory lane for adults wanting to relive their youth.
